Okay...okay...it's been a looooong

time since I've been here, but I have to say that the amount of activity and feedback I get here is usually minimal, but I thought I'd drop by to see if any one is still reading anything I post to LJ...any one?

First, let me start with some shamless...

I wanted to let those few of you here who still read this know that I have some items for sale, all of which you can see additional pics thereof within my gallery on Deviant Art- see links below. Due to my growing displeasure with places like EBay and their recent and very detrimental policy changes and increased fees, I am trying to find other venues to offer my work for sale. And so, I thought I'd give LJ a go to do just that!!!!

The Arachnophile Jonely Bonely is still for sale...one of my slightly more macabre pieces, but still with a bit of a sense of humor I think...

I'm asking $80 plus the appropriate S/H charges for him.

I have still one of my Jack-o-lantern Scarecrow dolls available... Halloween is one of my favorite times of year and I'd do these all year long, and often do!

I'm asking $80 for him plus S/H fees to be calculated according to your destination.

I also have a few of my Treasures from the Hedge line available...

I have two of these left- my Woodland Bookmarks- and they are, of course, for sale: the second one- the red maple leaf- and the last one- the green fern- are still available for $20 each plus S/H fees

Okay, now for the actual news:

First off, I've been spending a lot of time trying to revive and generate a new presence generally everywhere for my art and my writing- this has meant trying to submit stuff to various publications as well as trying out some more and newer- to me and new in general- on-line communities and sites for artists and doll makers and fantasy/mythic related stuff in general. I'm a firm believer in not putting all of ones eggs in just one basket. So, that being said, as well as perhaps a bit more frequently here on LJ, here are some other places you can find me, ...sometimes:

So you can see, I think, the problem for someone such as me and the kind of work that I do becomes an issue of trying to divide ones time between self promotion, keeping in touch, doing the business end of this all, writing, photographing, packing up items for shipping, and then...oh yeah, the actual art work! I love it all, but...well sometimes I go a bit MIA...

I would also like to let folks know that I am to have some of my Little Ones featured in some upcoming issues of CDC- Contemporary Doll Collector- Magazine. I have not been told which issue(s) as yet, but I will let you folks know when I find out. I will be soliciting other such magazines as well for some feature spaces, so keep yer eyes here on this spot!

And some of my most exciting news, I am one of several artists that have been featured in The Encyclopedia of Polymer Clay Techniques by Sue Heaser, published by Running Press

There are a lot of extremely talented folks featured therein and I was invited to be in this with them and quite frankly I'm stunned, honored and tickled pink that I was asked and that I'm in!!!! It is a hardbound book and I gotta say...folks, it's impressive! I got my comp copy and it is not only a book I would have wanted to own for the information included therein, but also because of the quality of it and the photos inside. This has been a project in the works for some time now, but I didn't want to mention it until I saw that it wasn't going to be killed as so many projects often do. Here is a link-

to the Running Press web site page that gives you places where it can be purchased on-line as well as good old brick-and-mortar shops where it can be purchased- and no, I don't get any more money for each copy sold, I just think this is a really cool book!

"Greetings from deep in the Hedge! "

Here's the latest news from the Hedge and Boggleboy Studios:

....and if no one is reading my LJ Journal entries, then I suppose this will be my last one here.

I would like to announce the SECOND in the series of collaborations between myself and Pat Graham- "buffalodancing" and "Dancing Buffalo" and "Pattee". As mentioned before, this will be a series of characters sculpted by Pat that I will then do costumes and write stories for. We are both extremely excited about this collaboration, and all of these will be offered initially through eBay, alternating between my own eBay store and Pat's- the link to Pat's being above. I will still have some of my own creations up as they are completed on eBay in addition to these collaborations between Boggleboy Studios and Dancing Buffalo, as well as continuing to work on the various commissions I have in the queue here at Boggleboy Studios. So keep your eyes on the Hedge!

Long Time Away- But I'm back to say...

Here's the latest news from the Hedge and Boggleboy Studios:

I am proud and extremely excited to announce that -at long last- the much awaited and anticipated update and remodel of the World Of Kevin Buntin is here!!!!

That's right folks, Spring is here- albeit a bit prematurely- and so too is the remodel and update of the World Of Kevin Buntin. We will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary this April 1st- yes, April Fools Day!- as well as celebrating some major changes in the Hedge and at Boggleboy Studios! For one, we have a new official Site Sprite-Creann Pieroni!!!! A wonderful lady with vision, humor, a wonderful artistic sensibility and organization skills the like of which we have never seen in the Hedge! You can see some of her own lovely art on DA here: Trinny2812 She is responsible for the majority of the wonderful animations you will find throughout the site as well as the new design. We have worked very closely together for an overall look and feel that more closely resembles my original dream and vision for the World Of Kevin Buntin than ever was done before. So please, if it's been a while since you visited, drop by and check it all out and please be sure to sign the Guest Book- we lost a lot of the original entries due to some technical glitch. It will be nice to see actual entries other than the constant barrage of SPAM we get....

Also, Imagine 2006 is finally out and available for purchase for those of you who might be interested. You can purchase a copy here: The Imagine Project Remember, the sales proceeds all get split up among all the artists featured therein, so you'll be helping out a lot of artisans besides just myself. Also, if you haven't heard yet- I was featured in the Winter Edition of Faerie's Magazine!!!!!! I am still really stoked about that!!!!

New Figures From Boggleboy Studios

Hello from the Hedge everyone!!!! Just wanted to let those of you who watch me know that I have two new little fellows. They are the most recent additions to my series of fae known as Wind Folletti! They are Albrecht and Notus-foehn! Each one is only 1 inch in height approximately and comes with it's own magic flying milk-weed pod! Here are a couple of pics of them:

Faerie Ring
_{Just one of my latest pieces here. It's only about an inch high, made out of Makin's Air Dry Clay with a lot natural materials. I can't guarantee}_{the type of wood- or material type- that the Faerie Ring would be mounted on, but I have a variety of materials...sooooo...lemme know!

New to Live Journal

    Well, I'm finally getting around to posting here on Live Journal. I will admit that my primary reason for being here is to get more exposure for my art and my writing! But I also hope to garner the same benefits that I have from such communities like Deviant Art- http://boggleboy.deviantart.com/ And that is to meet other artists, writers, interesting and interested folk!
   Just to give folks an introduction to me and what I do: I am primarily a 3-D artist, meaning I am a sculptor/modeler and the chief subject matter of my work is fantasy. I also write- same genre for the most part- and often times my written work is done in conjunction with my figs- or vice versa. In both areas I am largely self-taught. I pretty much do everything in my pieces my self, from the armatures to the costumes and the set designs and construction for those pieces that have such settings.
